    Make the claim traceable.

BestCityToLive is an AINT.app city intelligence initiative. We want a useful guide to lead to a better question, and a published finding to lead back to the evidence that supports it.

    What we publish

City dossiers combine practical editorial interpretation with linked official tourism, transport, airport and municipal resources. Suggested itineraries are our planning ideas; they are not proof of a first-hand visit or a guarantee of an attraction’s availability. Category guides explain what to investigate. Research analyses interpret evidence and show their reference desk.

    How sources are selected

Prefer the agency that publishes the measurement, the operator that runs the service and the authority responsible for the rule. Official tourism sources are useful for neighborhoods and visitor experiences, but promotional content cannot establish independent affordability or safety performance. When access to a source is limited, do not present inaccessible material as a reviewed measurement.

    How the research is produced

This site uses AI-assisted research, drafting and software development, with checks against the sources linked in the published work. It does not imply a staff of on-the-ground correspondents or independent field reporting. Editorial interpretation can be wrong; the source links, dates and correction process are part of making it open to challenge.

Dates must mean what they say

A guide review date records an editorial review. A source check records a collection attempt. An observation period records when a measured condition occurred. A publication date identifies an article or release. A weekly check must never relabel an older measurement as newly observed. Manually reviewed records retain their own dates until reviewed again.

    What a number must carry

A quantitative observation needs a publisher, source URL, unit, observation period, geography and limitation. National data is labeled as national context. Municipality, census metropolitan area, police region and functional urban area are distinct units. We do not silently swap one for another to fill a gap. Calculated changes must identify their base period and calculation.

    What the ranking represents

The historical rankings preserve scores from the inherited dataset. Their original source links and weights are incomplete, so they remain a dated legacy baseline. The separate Civometra Index is a published research model. Official quarterly winners require reviewed comparable city evidence, coverage gates, sensitivity checks and an archived edition. Editorial guides and national proxies never silently enter that score.

    Travel information changes

Routes, fares, opening hours, accessibility, entry conditions and local circumstances change. Dossiers link to responsible official services for a final check. They are not live travel advisories. A city can be interesting to research without being an appropriate trip for every traveler or every date.

    Commercial influence and corrections

Paid placement must not determine index scores or be presented as an independent ranking finding. Any future sponsored editorial placement should be labeled where it appears. Report a correction with the page, claim, observation period and primary reference through AINT.app. Confirmed substantive corrections should identify the change and its reason in the release history; official editions retain a versioned record.
