The geographic edition
Official CMA · 2021
Four direct official CMA2021 source aggregates; original provincial-part DGUIDs retained and complete-layer one-part proof checked. Separate from PM2015; no OECD equivalence or municipal aggregation.
A scoped Canadian comparison. 4 of 63 destination guides have this reviewed survey input. Places outside the subset retain an evidence gap; they are not assigned a proxy or zero.
Rates retain the source's one-decimal precision and original quality flags. The reported rental universe is not a separately observed vacant-unit count. These figures do not establish a global vacancy ranking or an overall city score.
Original evidence review: 2026-10-26. Current engine assessment: 2026-10-27. A dated historical review can remain visible after its current admission changes.

A published vacancy rate can help frame questions about the availability of purpose-built rentals during that survey window. Check today's listings, neighbourhood, unit size, lease conditions and official local guidance before making a housing decision.
The metropolitan boundary is the official 2021 CMA used for this source. It is separate from the historical estimated areas used for other environmental inputs. A shared city name does not make those boundaries interchangeable.
